VTU - Visvesvaraya Technological University Convocation on March 12, 2008
7th Annucal Convoction of Visvesvaraya Technological University - VTU is scheduled to be held on Wednesday March 12, 2008 in the VTU campus “Jnana Sangama” Belgaum.Governor of Karnataka will award the Degree only to Gold Medalists and others who wish to collect the Certificates personally can collect them from the office of the Registrar (Evaluation) on the same day after the convocation ceremony or on March 13, 2008 during office hour on producing the valid identiy card issued by the college. For others, the certificate will be sent by Registered Post immediately after March 13, 2008
Though VTU has not published the list of Gold Medalists it is assumed that the 1st Rank holders are Gold Medalists. Please visit following links to know the Rank Holders.

Please Note:
1. Invitations have been already sent to all Rank holders of VTU.
2. There is a strict dress code. White dress is compulsory for the candidates attending convocation.
3. Candidates must carry their college Identity card. Rank holders must come with the Invitation, which is signed by VC and Registrar. Nothing else.

But other than 1st rank holders need to collect degree separately?
And, will there be any gold medal for securing first rank in the subject?
Please talk to the University Directly. They should be able to address your queries quickly and you can take action immediately as Convocation is nearing.
Hi what are the necessary things to be taken to convocation by a student who is willing to attend ??
Like a letter from college or even old ID will work?? and any thing else which VTU requires ??

Moreover what is the criteria to attend the convocation?I assume that some white dresses to be worn during that time of convocation.

hey guys, have anyone of u received any kind of invitation letter from VTU. I have received a letter from my college only regarding the convocation.
So is there a value for second and third rank holders to attend the convocation?

VTU has already started dispatching Certificates. It may not be too late before you get your certificate. However, you can collect the certificate in person immediately or authorise some one reliable to collect it on your behalf immediately. (You can send the authorisation letter by fax also.) If you don't have anyone in Belgaum, we can arrange some for you who can do it for a service charge. You can write to services@educationbangalore.com with your complete details.
hi.i wanted to know what is the criteria or the procedure VTU adopts to give a medal to a engineering student? whether they consider marks from firstt semester or from fifth semister? i also wanted to know how some students get more than one medals?
