CET results put off
The Karnataka Examination Authority's CET 2008 results will be postponed due to the delay in the announcement of CBSE and ICSE results. The CET results were scheduled to be announced on May 14. "The results of ICSE and CBSE have not been announced yet. The KEA will wait until May 25 for these results. If these results are not received even after that, we will announce the CET results," said SG Hegde, Director, KEA.

Attention NATA candidates: Minimum Eligibility Marks Increased
NATA Minimum Eligibility Marks increased for SC, ST & OBC candidates
The Council of Architecture has changed the National Aptitude Test in Architecture - NATA eligibility criteria for admission to Architecture course for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC. Now, the candidates belonging to the above three reserved groups should secure a minimum of 40% marks to be eligible for admission to 1st year of BArch course. Earlier, the minimum marks required was 35%. However, the minimum eligibility marks (45%) is unchanged for other candidates belonging to all other general groups.
This change will come in to force from academic year 2008-2009 and implemented KEA CET 2008, COMED UGET 2008 and KMCA UGET – 2008.

English Test for COMEDK UGET-2008 Cancelled
The COMEDK has officially cancelled the proposed test of English for UGET 2008. Hence the UGET-2008 will be similar to that of UGET 2007. This brings a lot of relief to those candidates who were tensed about the new test format this year. However, COMEDK plans to introduce the Test Of English in UGET-2009.

Answer:COMEDK application forms and details will be available only online and they are not available in any other cities / towns. There will not be any hard copy of the application available. Want a BArch Seat ? Registration for NATA 2008 Open Now
Candidates who aspire for admission to 1st year of BArch (Bachelor of Architecture) in India should pass the National Aptitude Test in Architecture - NATA. It is a pre-qualification to take the BArch course in any Engineering College or Architecture School in India, including Government, Aided and Private institutions. Hence, if you are interested in selecting a BArch seat through the CET-2008 or COMEDK CET-2008, you need to pass and possess a Certificate of NATA. There is nothing like `One-Exam-per-year’. You can take the NATA any time convenient to you between 1 January 2008 and 31 September 2008 with a prior appointment. But,
KEA has fixed April 23, 2008 as the last date for taking NATA - 2008 and April 26, 2008 as the last date for submitting the NATA scores to KEA. Now there is no hurry. But, it is better to take the exam earlier as you can possess the certificate in time or you make the repeat attempts if necessary. All the colleges offering the Architecture course conduct this NATA.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has issued the official CET 2008 notification on 5-1-2008, for the admission to the first year of Medical, Dental, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga courses for the academic year 2008-2009.
Now HURRY UP. You need to apply for Brochure -cum-Application form by paying the prescribed fees as under:
Students within Karnataka:
Should pay a DD for Rs.550/- to the principal of your college. The DD should be drawn in favour of The Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore. In case you belong to the SC/ST category, then the DD amount is Rs.400/- The principal will send the bunch of all the DDs collected in your college to the KEA Cell. And in turn, the KEA Cell will send the Brochure to the College in a bunch and the same will be distributed to you and other applicants of your college.
Last Date for you to submit the DD is 16-1-2008
You will receive the Brochure cum Application form before 3-2-2008
Students Out-side Karnataka and within India:
Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates should send a DD for Rs.650/- directly to the KEA Cell only by Speed Post. The DD should be drawn in favour of The Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore. Your DD should be sent along with a Self Addressed Cloth-lined envelop of size 30cm x 25 cm. Ensure that, you write the address very legibly and you also mention your contact telephone number. Many students don't get the parcel because of the illegible handwriting. Take care. Remember to write "REQUEST FOR CET-2008 BROCHURE" on the cover which contains your DD and the self addressed envelop. Don’t use the private Courier Service.
