The Karnataka Common Entrance Test-2008 for admission to the first year of Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga courses Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy and Engineering Technology courses will be held as per the following schedule.
One Day : The CET 2008 will be a one-day affair and will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), the new avatar of the CET Cell.

The combined Physics and Chemistry paper for 120 marks, will be held during a two-and-a-half hour slot in the morning. In the afternoon, two other papers — mathematics and biology, each for 60 marks — will be held.
On April 20, the KEA will conduct the Kannada language test for Gadinadu and Horanadu Kannadigas.

Proposed Test of English has been droped this year
The Undergraduate Entrance Test-2008 (UGET), conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) for admission to private medical, dental and engineering colleges in Karnataka, will be held on May 4, 2008. Time Table will be announced soon.
One Day CET : All three examinations i.e. Physics and Chemistry (combined paper), Mathematics and Biology, will be conducted on the same day.

KRLMPCA - Karnataka Religious & Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association Entrance Test UGET- 2008 for Admission to Medical, Dental and Engineering Minority Colleges of Karnataka will be held on May 11, 2008.
One Day CET : There will be four separate papers i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in the written test.

2008 seat sharing Puzzle Solved
Government & Private Seat Sharing Finalised
Engineering, Medical & Dental Seat Sharing to Stay As Last Year
It looks likes, the 'Annual Puzzle' over Seat Sharing between the Government of Karnataka and the private colleges is solved for at-least this year. First both the parties agreed upon Engineering seat sharing and now they successfully reached a pact over the Medical (MBBS) and Dental (BDS) seat sharing too for the academic year 2008-09. The seat sharing is as follows:
Medical Seat Sharing : Government 55%, Private 45%
Medical Seat Sharing : Government 40%, Private 60%
Dental Seat Sharing : Government 35%, Private 65%
