on payment of Rs 400/-by demand draft
in favour of `St John's Medical College, Bangalore'
for each course.

(and all the courses offered in those 2 subjects)

who have done 2 years or more of rural service, recognised as such, by
this Institution.
Admission
to MMBS Course
-
Prospectus and Application forms are available by post by remitting
Rs 350/- by Bank Demand Draft, in favour of St John's Medical College,
payable at Bangalore.
(for students residing outside India $25=00 or equivalent amount in
rupees)
No other mode of payment is acceptable.
OR
Prospectus and Application forms can be collected Personally at the
admissions office
from March 6, 2000 between 9 am and 12.30 pm on working days
on payment of Rs 350 by Bank Demand Draft payable at Bangalore.

Last date for mailing application forms is April 17 to addresses in India,
and April 3 to addresses abroad. Requests received later than these
dates will not be entertained.

Only limited number of applications are available and will be issued on
`first come first served' basis.

Last date for receipt of completed application
forms is May 2, 2000.

Entrance test is scheduled for Sunday, May
28, 2000.

Admission
to Nursing Courses
General Nursing & Midwifery
Eligibility: PUC or its equivalent with Science/ Arts/Commerce
(preferably science) with a minimum of 40 % marks on the aggregate.
Duration of the course: 3 years
D D: Rs 200
BASIC B.Sc (Nursing)
Eligibilty: PUC or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology with a minimum of 45 % marks in Science subjects.
Duration of the course: 4 years
DD : Rs 250
PCB.Sc (Nursing)
Eligibility: 1 PUC or its equivalent preferably with Science
2 Pass in General Nursing
3 Minimum of two years experience as staff nurse or a community health
nurse.
Duration of the course: 2 years
DD: Rs 225
M Sc (Nursing)
Eligibility: 1 B.Sc Nursing degree
2 Two years experience - 1 year experience in any clinical area, hospital
or community.
3 Registration with State Nursing Council.
Specialities: Community Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatrics
and Obst & Gynae.
Duration of the course: 2 years
DD: Rs 275

Admission procedure for the nursing centres in this institution is subject
to the directions and orders given by the Supreme Court in our Writ 285
of 1993, and the admission policy that may be formulated by this institution.
